New-Graduate Clinic Program
We love having new graduate clinicians at Young Allied Health!
The enthusiasm and fresh perspective is always an exciting addition to the team and we enjoy watching the confidence grow of our new clinicians. To help make the transition to working life as a clinician smoother and provide the appropriate supports, we have a few additional processes in place. For new graduate clinicians, expectations for how many clients you see in a day will be reduced in comparison to more experienced clinicians. The expectation is that you will start with a smaller caseload during the first part of the year and slowly build your caseload and expectations per term.
As part of these supports, you will be provided with:
– Opportunity to observe sessions of other clinicians (both speech and OT)
– Weekly supervision (by a senior clinician of your same discipline)
– Structured induction program to orient you to all Young Allied Health policies and procedures
– Fortnightly staff meetings
– Monthly clinical case focused meetings
– Generous professional development allowances to access external PD
– Additional in-house professional development opportunities as part of our team training days
